The DJ Jamton Story

DJ Jamton discovered his passion for music at a remarkably young age. Even before he turned 10, he was drawn to the drum kit that lingered unattended at his parents' nightclub, left behind by the week's performing band. With no formal training but an innate sense of rhythm, he would climb onto the drums and entertain the adult patrons. Recognizing his son's natural talent, his father promptly arranged for him to take lessons from a seasoned jazz drummer who was a regular at the club.

As he grew, DJ Jamton's musical interests expanded. By the time he was in 8th grade, he received his first guitar for Christmas, sparked by his burgeoning love for the instrument which was kindled at rock concerts featuring the era's popular artists. This guitar opened new avenues for him, leading him to perform at high school parties and events as a member of various rock bands. His early exposure to live performances honed his skills and deepened his understanding of music's power to connect with people.

After graduating from high school, DJ Jamton decided to further his musical education in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he immersed himself in the study of both rock and jazz. The city's vibrant music scene provided him with an enriching environment, surrounded by a plethora of music experts. He took advantage of this unique opportunity, learning from the best, and even shared the stage with Prince's drummer, an experience that added depth to his musical repertoire. Furthermore, he recorded music using the same mixing board that Janet Jackson had used, a moment that underscored the trajectory of his rising career.

This period in Minneapolis was pivotal for DJ Jamton. Not only did he expand his technical skills but also absorbed the cultural essence of music through various performances and collaborations.
